About Kilian
Scaling some of the world’s most challenging cliff faces, Austrian freeclimbing star Kilian Fischhuber famously tackled Action Directe, a 9a-rated natural boulder formation in Germany.
Having joined the Austrian Alpine Club in 1995, Kilian has since made his way up to the very top of his sport taking the Boulder World Cup most recently in 2010. He was also World Cup winner in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 – marking him out as a force to be reckoned with in the sport.
Before reaching these dizzy heights, however, Kilian became hooked on climbing at the age of 12 and was a member of the Austrian national youth climbing team. He was also named Boulder Rock Master in 2005, 2008 and 2009.
