About: Red Bull EmSee national final hosted by the legendary Eminem. This is the first national emcee battle of its kind, it's an innovative rap-battle format that highlights the creativity and artistry of true freestyling emceeing. The skills of the contestants are tested through video image cues, and performances are judged by hugely influential industry heavyweights like Just Blaze, Alchemist, and of course, Eminem. This invitation-only competition has a unique format that challenges MCs to revive their true freestyle spirit. Building upon the traditional head-to-head battle by adding an innovative twist, MCs will be tested on the sickest flows they can create on the spot based on spontaneous cues--making it not only a battle against each other but also against the clock and the mind’s eye. The competition has swept right across the country starting in New York then travelling the long and rocky road to 8-mile through Houston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Orlando, Greensboro before finally ending up in Detroit where Eminem will crown the first ever Red Bull EmSee national champion.
