Canadian Scott Croxall crashed in his Elimination Round heat on Friday night but still made it through to Saturday's final – a competition he believes he can win. Battered and bruised, Scott blogs from Valkenburg...
Hi everyone,
Here we are in Valkenburg racing on another crazy track! They just keep getting faster with some crazy obstacles as well. It’s living up to its billing and we’re all battling through some injuries now as a result. I’ve got a few bumps and bruises but I’ll be alright – I’ve just got to stay on my feet and make it to the finals and I’ll be happy! Last year was good in general but I want to do better. I’m not falling foul of any rules at least – I’m being a good boy this year!
I think it’ll be the usual suspects at the top, my brother, Kyle, and Arttu – it’s hard to look beyond those two at the moment. I’ve seen an improvement in the Dutch skaters though. The three international skaters have been doing really well. Bart, Remo and Glen – hopefully, for them, they can do well here.
Now I’m through the Elimination Round, I’m going to relax a bit, maybe ice a few wounds as well, and then prepare for the main race. I’ll get a good night’s sleep ahead of a big day tomorrow. It’s going to be tough but it’s about time I got a first place!
Scott
