Norway next up in World Series

The world's best cliff divers travel to Norway for the first time as the resort of Kragerø hosts the third stop in the 2010 World Series on Saturday, July 24.

With two wins out of two so far, Gary Hunt could establish an almost unassailable lead at the top should he triumph from 27 metres in Kragerø – a coastal town in the Telemark region of southern Norway.

2009 World Series champion Orlando Duque is out to make sure that doesn't happen, while the likes of Artem Silchenko and Kent De Mond have also proved with podium finishes, in Mexico and France respectively, that the competition is growing.

The halfway stage in the series may be a defining moment in the battle for places and thousands of spectators are expected to watch the event unfold amid a backdop of tiny islands.

Representing Norway will be wildcard Magnus Vigeland. The 31-year-old has competed in the World Championships, finishing as high as fourth in 2008.
