The geeks inherited the earth this weekend - well, San Diego at least - as the annual nerd-fest that is Comic-Con got underway once again...

While the big news from the San Diego Conference Centre this weekend was full of special appearances from The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield, Doctor Who's Matt Smith, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and, erm, Val Kilmer, the real stars of Comic-Con 2011 were, as usual, the cosplayers.
